We are pleased you have visited our website. This year we are celebrating our 133rd year in the business of serving home builders, remodelers, commercial contractors, industrial operators and other retail lumberyards throughout the state of Indiana.

My great-great grandfather, George H. Carter, started the company in 1873. Back then, most of the lumber the company sold came from southern Indiana and Michigan by horse-drawn wagon. A logging mill ,behind our main office, fashioned the logs into finished lumber that the pioneer community of Indianapolis required for building and growth.

Today, the same Carter family, continues to grow and meet the building and remodeling industry.

I believe you would be surprised and amazed if you had the chance to tour our 30+ acres. We offer a variety of products ranging from just about every size and specie of lumber product manufactured. Our custom and production wood mill manufactures mouldings, doors, cabinets and architechural millwork daily.

We can either supply or install windows or doors into new or existing homes.

I am also proud of our engineering department that is capable of designing floor systems, roof trusses, and wood beams.
